In November 2002, the Carryl family of Jacksonville, Florida purchased Reliance Supply from NCH Corporation of Irving, Texas. Under family ownership, the company built its reputation on two things: Customer Service the national suppliers couldn't match, and custom onsite inventory programs designed around how each Customer actually works.

What started as a fastener business didn't stay one. As Customers came to us with needs beyond fasteners, we expanded the catalog to meet them, becoming a single source for the supplies that keep shops and fleets running.

In June 2021, BlackHawk Industrial of Tulsa, Oklahoma acquired Reliance Supply. BlackHawk is a privately held company that operates by the same principle we always have: Big Enough to Serve, Small Enough to Care.
